Auroville - My escape.

I first visited Auroville in 2016. And I fell in love with it. Since then, I have been there multiple times over the years. And I have always jokingly said, if I ever vanish from the face of the Earth, you'd find me in Auroville. But this time it was an escape indeed.

This is not a review of Keeth House - The place. But I would not be doing justice explaining the entire experience without telling you a bit about the place too.

Quiet, homely and warm. Best describes Keeth. A little sanctuary of wooden cottages, a tree house and so much more. You are welcomed with a smile and you leave with one. The place is clean, fresh and full of greenery. The food is home-made, locally sourced and sumptuous. Keeth House believes in being sustainable, respecting the environment and giving back to its community. If you go there once, you would want to go again.

But as I said, not a review of the place. Keeth House gets full marks for that.

A little context now. Having lost my mother just over a month ago, I went to Auroville - to escape and run away. I needed a break from the magnanimity of the situation.

And I stepped in at Keeth. Welcomed by Prabhu with a smile and some warm lunch. Later in the evening, I met Sherrin and Dharani. These were the hosts at Keeth. Over the course of my stay there, I had numerous interactions with them. The conversation felt natural and warm, genuine smiles and a wish you to welcome you to their home.

We talked about everything under the sun, shared stories, experiences and in that moment, I felt that life will be alright. Because, the people at Keeth made me believe so. Not by their words, but by their actions and how they lived life.

Keeth House is the people. And I'm glad I was able to experience it.

Thank you Sherrin, Dharani and Pabhu for the being the sunshine I needed.

And for those of you, who have never been there, it is a definitely a place worth experiencing.
